Two Tangos"I have finished my shower!" Ellie wandered into the small kitchen, rubbing her hair with a particularly fluffy towel.
"Enjoy it?" Freya asked, making a couple marks in the margin of a spreadsheet, trying to ignore Emmi, her Eevee, rubbing against her ankles.
"Is it possible to not enjoy a hot shower?"
"So, any big plans for tonight, Rey-Rey?" Ellie pulled out a chair and flopped into it, maneuvering the towel over her shoulders.
Emmi squeaked, and Freya nudged her away gently with her foot. The Eevee whimpered gently and tried to snuggle again, but when she was only nudged away again, gave up and instead begged for some cuddles from Ellie.
"Luke said he was coming over at seven, and we were going to go get dinner... That's still an hour away, though." Freya didn't look up from her work, its deadline flashing through her mind.

Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
